Classroom Management Handbook
This artifact is a handbook of classroom rules and policies, designed for my Art Methods course in the fall of 2013. I was student-teaching at the time, so writing up a classroom handbook allowed me to address my own teaching practices and to reflect upon the classroom environment I want to foster. This handbook's contents reflect my personal teaching philosophy, and intend to use it in future practice. This handbook efficiently addresses my classroom rules, routines, grading policies, discipline, and more in a format that can be sent home to parents and guardians.
This handbook is a clear fit with Danielson's Domain #2 because it details my approach to creating an environment of respect and rapport, managing classroom procedures, and managing student behavior. Furthermore, this document conforms to Idaho Teaching Standard #5: Classroom Motivation and Management Skills.
