School District Interviews
The next two items are interviews conducted for Foundations of Schooling (EDU 301). In a team investigation of the Parma School District, my partners and I had to conduct interviews with students, members of the community, teachers, and administrators. These two interviews were part of my contribution to our research. I conducted interviews with Diane Hardin, the principal of Maxine Johnson Elementary, and Linda McMillin, a high school art teacher with more than fifteen years with the district.
This pair of interviews demonstrates several aspects of Domain #4, including Participating in a Professional Community (4d), Growing and Developing Professionally (4e), and Showing Professionalism (4f). During the interviews I conducted myself in a professional manner, and they reciprocated, happy to answer my inquiries about the district. Although my interviews were brief, the partnerships I forged with those two educators led to future collaboration. This demonstrated my ability to interact in a professional manner with colleagues and other members of the community.
